Wednesday Market Presentation: Raising Honeybees

Herbalist & Beekeeper, Thomas Rohrkaste from La Puebla Elementals, will be offering an introductory class on honeybees at the July 10 Wednesday Market. Topics will include explaining their life cycle, behavior, and how to start a beehive. Also included in this presentation will be beehive maintenance, honey plants, and current environmental factors affecting honeybees in New Mexico. He will have on display a live plexiglass beehive and honey comb samples.
