A basket of green chiles

The Santa Fe Farmers Market, one of the top ten farmers’ markets in the US, is inaugurating its annual green chile harvest festival on Saturday, September 7. Symbolic of Southwestern culture, the green chile is New Mexico’s largest crop bringing heat and flavor to New Mexico’s distinctive cuisine. Join the celebration with the premier producers of the green chile in a day of activities including: cooking with green chile demonstrations of award winning chefs, special performances by the best of regional musicians, a farm animal petting zoo, the chile cheeseburger smackdown contest, and a chance to partake of the incredible produce at the Market.
