Center for Contemporary Arts, Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute, and the Street Food Institute are teaming up to offer a unique series of events designed to celebrate Santa Fe’s passion for great food and world-class cinema.
The third edition of Farms, Films, Food: A Santa Fe Celebration offers affordable meals from the Street Food Institute, under the leadership of Chef David Sellers, plus other food trucks, free food samples, and a special cooking demonstration. Also, catch special gallery tours of the blockbuster exhibit “Robert Williams: Slang Aesthetics” and two FREE film screenings designed for food lovers and families alike!

“Seeds: The Untold Story (2016)”
Few things on Earth are as miraculous and vital as seeds. Worshipped and treasured since the dawn of humankind. SEED: The Untold Story follows passionate seed keepers protecting our 12,000 year-old food legacy. In the last century, 94% of our seed varieties have disappeared. As biotech chemical companies control the majority of our seeds, farmers, scientists, lawyers, and indigenous seed keepers fight a David and Goliath battle to defend the future of our food. In a harrowing and heartening story, these reluctant heroes rekindle a lost connection to our most treasured resource and revive a culture connected to seeds. They invite us on a journey through time to rediscover these European territories that we have been sharing with wild animals since the last ice age.
Winter had lasted 80,000 years when, during a very short time, a vast forest started covering the whole continent. A new planetary configuration shatters everything that had come before. The cycle of the seasons takes root, the landscape transforms, fauna and flora evolves. History begins… An interminable ice age is succeeded by a deep and rich forest and then, driven by new men, by a cheerful countryside.
