This event is designed to celebrate Santa Fe’s unrivaled love of great food and world-class cinema.
Jambo, Street Food Institute, and Kebab Caravan served up amazing meals for just $5 each.
The organizations that partnered and had tables with activities and info were:

SFCC’s Center for Diversity and Integrated Learning
La Familia
Seeds: A Collective Voice
And, Phil Loomis from Jacona Farm did a food demonstration with sheshito peppers, carrots, and friend garlic potatoes! The recipe for the potatoes is below.
Skillet Fried Garlic Potatoes
Ingredients:
1 lb. Fingerling potatoes
1 ½ tbls olive oil
3 to 4 clove fresh garlic, sliced
sea salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
Preparation:
- Scrub fingerlings and cut into approximately one inch pieces.
- Add olive oil to well seasoned skillet and heat on high flame until oil just begins to smoke.
- Add potatoes and toss or stir until covered in oil.
- Cover skillet and lower to medium heat. Cook until potatoes start to become soft, stirring regularly.
- Once potatoes become soft, add garlic slices and cook covered one to two more minutes. Garlic slices should just start to become brown.
- Remove cover, add sea salt and pepper and toss well. Continue to cook on medium heat, uncovered until nicely browned. Serve hot.
Serves 4 to 5 sides.
We look forward to another great event on Wednesday, November 2 at the CCA!
